Pride Week in Victoria continues!

QUSIC is a LGBT2Q+ Artist Music Series, produced by Rebellious Unicorns Production Company Inc., in which all presenting artists identify under the LGBT2Q+ spectrum. This innovative series celebrates the LGBTQ2+ community, which includes individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and two-spirit as well as a range of other gender and sexual identities. QUSIC features solo performers, duos or group acts, provided that the headlining artist identifies as LGBT2Q+.

QUSIC supports the growth and development of the Canadian music industry, highlighting artists who identify as LGBT2Q+. The music series invests in Canadian talent and will help to grow awareness of LGBT2Q+ musical artists, and helping to put money in their pockets so that they may continue to create this essential art form.

QUSIC is excited to get to know Monica Miles through playful interviews, and experiencing her talent on Monday, July 5th @ 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm on Unicorns.LIVE and live at Friends of Dorothy Lounge - Victoria.

About Monica Miles (She/They)

Monica Miles (or, either/or) first started playing classical guitar at age 7, falling in love with music and performance as early as they can remember.

Influenced by a threateningly bygone era of music, Monica Miles looks to the fierce individualists of the past century - ranging from Eartha Kitt, Eddie Van Halen, Joan Jett, Prince, Debbie Harry and beyond - in her quest to redefine what it means to be a true rockstar of this one.

Combined with her vintage, chic mid-50's-via-ready-to-wear 90's drag fashion or glittery, glam rock realness, she's sure to ignite the stage and audience with their energetic performance style, signature pop/trap production, quirky and inclusive lyrics, and infectious melodies and rhythms.

About Matt Stern (He/Him) & Jessica Pickersgill (She/Her)

Jessica and Matt met serendipitously mid-pandemic thanks to Matt’s puppy, Max. Realizing they were neighbours and both musicians, they began to collaborate and never looked back. Harmonizing through waves of bittersweet longing, playful giddiness, gentle soothing and raw connection, they weave a musical palette that invites everyone in. Catch them live this summer in Victoria and Vancouver, and then, beyond.

The vocals of pride. Joining in this episode of QUSIC is Cameron Lorenzo, Tuesday, July 5th @ 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm on Unicorns.LIVE.

About Cameron Lorenzo (He/They)

I'm a solo artist that makes relatable songs about life, love and other fun stuff. I have been writing since I was 13 and in my opinion they are only getting better with time. I mostly perform original material with a few covers of different genres scattered in for an overall amazing time! I graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts last year which helped solidify my vocal performance and performing abilities. As a recently come out queer/enby person with a hefty dose of imposter syndrome It would be amazing to play for people who can relate to what I'm saying in my songs.
