On June 2, the Government of Canada celebrated the fact that LGBTQ pride happens all summer long. In a post on social media, the Justin Trudeau-led government said that 'one month isn't enough,' and 'Pride Season' takes place across the country from June to September.
"Follow us as we highlight Pride celebrations all summer long!" the post said, with an image that said, 'Happy Pride Season' on it with a Canadian maple leaf logo in the colours of the new Black Lives Matter and trans movement LGBTQ flag.
The government posted it to its 'Free to be me' Twitter account. They urge us to follow their account as they highlight Pride Festivals across Canada all summer long.
