Tuesday, June 1 - #1Million Campaign - The Importance of Inclusion in Mental Health, 12:30 pm, presented by Rebellious UnicornsUnicorns.LIVE, and thehub.lgbt ~ Online

Episode 8 of the #1Million Campaign will be discussing the importance of inclusion and what it truly means. Beyond an in depth conceptual conversation, Avril Paice will be sharing available and accessible mental health services, and how we as a society can work towards an inclusive mental health system.

A facilitated safe space to talk, listen, and share your experiences of conscious ageing with other gay men. Topics include growing older, understanding issues of isolation, motivation, financial issues, physical health, sex, and more.

This is a positive, safe, inclusive, supportive space for, gender non-conforming, non-binary, transsexual, transgender, genderqueer inter-sexed or questioning (or any variation thereof under the rainbow spectrum) people living in or near Kelowna or the Okanagan are to discuss matters and various topics while providing and obtaining peer support.

We meet every Tuesday from 6-8 via Discord.

Wednesday, June 2 - PRICK! Kelowna, 5 pm - 8 pm, presented by Health Initiative for Men ~ Online

PRICK! is a private and confidential STI testing event for gay, bi and trans men, Two-Spirit and queer people. A HIM staff member will introduce you to an Interior Health Nurse who is able to provide tests for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, hepatitis (A,B &C), HIV and syphilis. Nurses can also provide education, resources and referrals for other related health concerns (ie. other STIs and vaccinations, PrEP and mental health.) You can use your given name, fake name or initials – the main focus is to create more testing options for people in our community.

Current and former sex workers will explore sex work’s intersection with queer history, discuss the experiences of queer sex workers today, and look forward to the future of sex work.

Wednesday, June 2 - Hip Hop for Him, 7 pm, presented by Health Initiative for Men ~ Online

Hip-Hop for HIM is a beginner dance class where you will learn new grooves and choreography from all types of dance sub-genres that fits to (or close to) the umbrella of Hip-Hop, such as; B-Boying, Dancehall, Voguing, Waacking, Popping & Locking, Commercial, Jazz-Funk and more. Dance is not only a great physical, creative and emotional outlet, it is also a large part of LGBTQIA culture and history. During Hip-Hop for HIM, you are encouraged to dance the way you feel – you can never be “too fem” or “too masc” or “too” anything, just live your best life, and cheer on everyone around you to do the same. This is a space that celebrates you, your differences and champions living (and dancing) for yourself. Get ready to slay the house down!
